Gooaaaal!

As a gift to the kids on my Daugher's soccer team, I decided to bake some soccer ball cookies. One of the Mom's called me regarding the end of season party and I had mentioned I was making them. She thought it was a good idea and decided to opt out of buying a cake in leu of the cookies. I made enough in case there are any siblings at the party and also had to make enough for another team and their siblings.

I'm not entirely thrilled with the result, as I always have issues using this frosting in small spaces, it causes it to dip and create holes. Oh well. It's all going to be eaten anyway right? :)

Turkey Treats

Here is a fun Thanksgiving treat you can make with your kids...

Made from Oreo's

Chocolate frosting (from a can)

Candy Corn

Red Hots

Whoppers

Split the Oreo in half take a little chocolate frosting and spread some on both pieces of the cookie. Use the candy corn to make feathers and placed on top of the chocolate frosting (to help the candy stay in place). Stick a whopper on the other piece of Oreo and tiny bit of frosting on top of the whopper to hold on the red hot and then place the feather side of the Oreo on the piece with the whopper and there you have it a simple turkey treat that the kids will love!

Tidbit of information

I opened up this blog to my friend DeAnna to also share some of her dessert creations. She's made some really pretty cakes and cupcakes that I plan on emulating at some point. :) Here's a snapshot of the cutest cupcakes ever that she made!

Variation of the leaves

I had to make some more cookies for a bake sale tomorrow at Brent's command. I made some more pumpkins and also a new color combo on the leaves.

Ghosties

This past week, my oldest and dearest friend DeAnna and her Daughter came to visit me. I hadn't seen her in years, and this was the first time I met Isabelle. I had such a great time and really didn't want her to leave. They came out in time to trick-or-treat with my girls and they made out very well in the candy department. Before we headed out that evening, I had baked some of my cookies since she never had the opportunity to try them before. Shame on me for not sending them! Being the awesome photographer she is, she set up a little ghostie photo shoot and took superb shots! Thank you for that DeAnna! Now you get to fly out here after every creation to snap some pictures! :)
